Project Update, New Photo books, Birthday Resolutions
Lately, I’ve been making space to recharge and reconnect with what inspires me. I picked up some new photobooks to study, a drone to expand my visual storytelling options, and a couple of self-help books to keep the mind sharp. I also shared some shots from a recent trip to London, UK. My ongoing project, The Wackenborner Daily Post, is now in its sequencing phase, so expect new updates and content from that soon. Today, July 7th, happens to be my birthday and with that comes some personal resolutions. I’m taking another break from alcohol to keep my mind clear, and I’m committed to pushing forward with my creative projects, continuing to share and create unapologetically. I also wanted to shout out Paulie B’s new YouTube video with @andrwsnapd, it really hit me. He talked about shooting work like he’s out taking street photos for himself, and that idea stuck with me. Too often, my paid work feels flat and formulaic, but when I’m shooting for myself, it’s alive. I tried carrying that mindset into a recent work trip, and I’m curious to see how the film turns out. If you want to see some of the digital images, let me know. Until then, stay safe, take care of yourselves, and thank you for being here. – Terrance
