Life Update

Where should I start? I’ve been pretty vocal on social media for a while now. It almost feels like months at this point. I never imagined this day would come; maybe it’s keeping me busy? I’ve been “keeping busy” a lot lately. I started my running journey, read a couple of books, and have been going to the gym and festivals. Again, things that I wouldn’t have guessed I would be doing months ago. Life is weird sometimes; at one point, you can feel like you’re on top of the world and nothing can bring you down, and other times it feels like you're walking a tightrope. For me, social media has always been a tool to promote your work and some aspects of your life; I've never relied on it. To be completely honest, I don’t like it. I’ve deleted my Instagram before, taken several breaks from social media, and damn near deleted it again months ago. These days I hang around to stay in touch with friends, share motivation, and show my consistency with the things I love: fitness, cars, and the occasional video that I find funny. Things would be different if I had another job and I had friends in cities close to me or within the city. I’ve seen posts about wasting valuable time because you don’t know what can happen. I try to stick to that, but with a demanding job, it cuts into the time I actually have and what I need to accomplish to be successful in my field. It has truly shaped who I am today; it's given me so many opportunities to meet new people and experience new cultures, travel to new places, and provide a stable income. The job is easy, but sometimes it feels like you're stuck, even if you're pursuing a new job title or promotion and feel like you’re doing everything right. I know I’m doing everything I can right now, so I don’t fault myself. It’s how badly I want it. Whatever I do, I always want to do my best and progressively get better over time; however, sometimes I get impatient lol. Things will get better; they always do. Btw, this is no cry for help; I’m totally fine. As my time in South Korea comes to a close, I’m getting anxious about returning home, but there are so many stones left unturned. My mom always tells me not to worry about things I can’t handle. I hear her voice in the back of my head right now. I love you, mama.

Anyway, back to the excitements of life! Since I started this running journey, I've been pretty consistent with my running “program.” I run pretty much every other day. Watching the time drop along with my pace feels good. As I’ve said on my Instagram stories, and my friends know this too, I used to hate running! I felt like running had no purpose. You’re breathing hard and your legs hurt for no reason, etc. You get the point, but now that I've been consistent, I can see all of the hype. I’m not gonna lie to you, though; sometimes I feel like complete ass, but that comes with diet and sleep. Right now, I’m telling myself I have to keep running for this 5k coming up in Seoul in October. This is something I really, really want to do, but the solo registrations are already sold out… Me being me, I will most likely buy a group ticket and run by myself. I’m very persistent in the department that if I want something, I will do it or get it somehow. Sometimes that can lead me down a path of obsession. As I said, everything will be fine lol. Just expect an announcement about my decision in the coming days.

Let’s talk about college real quick. I’ll be done with my final classes this November. That’s insane! I’ve submitted my graduation paperwork and am looking to graduate this December with a degree in Business Administration. This degree is completely different from the Automotive Engineering degree I originally planned to pursue. I haven’t stopped pursuing that degree; it's on hold due to the hands-on portions I have to attend. Regardless, this is very exciting and only one step in the right direction. I’m proud of myself. When I get back home, I’ll work towards the automotive degree!

To wrap up my life update, here are some things I’m excited for. This weekend I’ll be visiting one of South Korea’s biggest palaces ( I think I’ve been there before). I'm also going to see a game between the Doosan Bears and some other team lmao. In two weeks, EDC Korea is happening. I hope to go on one of the days with some of my friends to get the full EDC experience. My final event in Korea would’ve been the 5K in Seoul, but as I'm writing this, registration has closed. WACK! Oh, well, I should’ve bought the tickets when I had the chance. More races are coming, but saying my first-ever race was in Korea would’ve been cool lol. Remember, don’t dwell on things you can’t change! If you read this far or came to the website, I appreciate it. Be kind and #KeepPushin!Until the next one!
